Puppy Chow is a classic treat that is fun and easy to make. There are so many layers and coatings which makes for a delicious snack. Follow along with us as we transform this tasty treat into a THC/CBD-infused recipe!
Ingredients:
1 cup dark chocolate chips
1 cup creamy peanut butter or your favorite nut butter
CBD Tincture of choosing or THC coconut oil
Tinctures and oils can be bought from your local dispensary, but if they’re not available, THC/CBD coconut oil can be easily made at home!
6-7 cups Chex cereal
1-2 cups powdered sugar (to your desire)
Instructions:
Bring water to a low boil on the stovetop and add a thick glass bowl on top of it. Add the chocolate chips, peanut butter and CBD or THC oil to the glass bowl. This will prevent it from burning. Stir the two together until the mix is completely smooth.
Note: If adding THC coconut oil, make sure you do not add too much as it will make the mixture too wet.
Add half of the cereal into a large bowl, pour in half of the chocolate and peanut butter mix, slowly and stir all together until the cereal is coated with the mix.
Add the rest of the chocolate and peanut butter mix and the cereal and stir it all together.
Stir until cereal is evenly coated.
Leave the ingredients to sit and cool but do not let it completely harden.
Once fully cooled, add the powdered sugar and stir again until fully coated.
Let the puppy chow cool.
You can even toss it in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes so it will cool down faster.
Enjoy your puppy chow!
